The Daily Sermon

Most people who know me, know that I am not a religious person. That being said, I am not someone who shies away from talking about it. In fact, I love having conversations with people of faith and learning more about how that faith influences the way they think and the way they approach things.

I have a good friend at work who is a devote Christian and I love chatting with her about life. Often, she is able to approach things from a vastly different angle than my typical support system (most of whom think like me).  And while I don’t think she will ever “transform” me into a true believer, I so appreciate her perspective on things and our friendship.

To speak honestly, I think living a life without a deep religious belief is a lot easier than one with it, so I give her credit for the choices she makes and the love she shares with nearly everyone she comes in contact with. She really does make me appreciate the little things in my life.
