I just took a personality test. The results said:
“You have a distinctively expressed judging personality”
I immediately discounted this test as being sub par and not quite up to the high standards of psychological analysis that I am used to.
The original developers of the personality inventory were Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers. They began creating the indicator during World War II, believing that a knowledge of personality preferences would help women who were entering the industrial workforce for the first time to identify the sort of war-time jobs where they would be “most comfortable and effective”. The initial questionnaire grew into the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which was first published in 1962.
Clearly the test is outdated and doesn’t accurately analyze the strong women of the 21st century. I have a lovely, judgment-free personality… Well, except for those times when people are really, really dumb. I mean, how do you not judge this?
It also suggested that “secretary” should be my chosen career. Really, secretary?
Well, maybe I can picture that.
Joan definitely makes the job look more appealing. She is certainly the biggest baller on the show and is constantly putting the men in their place. It might be time I consider a career change.
